About Us

Keith Carpenter is the founder of Carpenter Morse Group, originally started in 1975 as Carpenter Advisory Companies. Keith received an undergraduate degree from Rollins College in Economics. After working for an economic research company, he obtained a Masters in Finance and Business Administration from the Rollins College Roy E. Crummer School of Finance and Business Administration. He successfully cultivated hundreds of relationships with small businesses throughout Florida providing retirement plan administration for over 30 years. Keith is now happily retired from the world of 401(k) Administration and enjoying family life here in Winter Park, Florida.

Serena received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. She has since earned several respected credentials from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), including the Qualified Pension Administrator Designation (QPA), Qualified 401(k) Administrator Designation (QKA), and the highest awarded designation from ASPPA, the Certified Pension Consultant or CPC designation. Serena has been a leading consultant and educator in retirement plan administration for over 20+ years. She is also a member of the ASPPA Political Action Committee which provides a voice for the lawmakers who support the employer-based retirement savings system.

In her free time, she and her high school sweetheart of 25 years, Brannon, enjoy lots of family time with their two children, two dogs and their teenage daughter’s bearded dragon.  

Brannon graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Florida. He has spent 11 years in the field of financial management. In his free time, he and his high school sweetheart of 25 years, Serena, enjoy lots of family time with their two children, two dogs and their teenage daughter’s bearded dragon. 

Brittney Bumgardner graduated from the University of Central Florida, College of Business with her B.S.B.A. in Accounting. She is a Partner and Senior Plan Consultant at Carpenter Morse Group where she is responsible for all aspects of the valuation process, plan document preparation, 1099 guru and training the staff ensuring they are knowledgeable in all areas of retirement administration.  Throughout her tenure, she has received the designation of Certified Pension Consultant which is the highest awarded designation from ASPPA, continues to be a contributing member to ASPPA by helping to write and review the certification guide books and tests, and has also streamlined several processes within the company. Brittney also prides herself on being update to date on all new regulations.

Her day starts by getting up before the sun, working out and working some before the kids are awake. When she is not working, she spends all her time chasing her two tiny humans, two dogs, one of which is a giant Golden doodle, and Husband around the house or going to Disney. Fun fact is that she has been with Carpenter Morse Group since college.
